Gretchen is the founder of Sweetheart Silkies Inc., a non-profit formed to promote poultry health and educate backyard flock keepers. She speaks at 4-H meets FFA gatherings and has done presentations across Florida. She also has been a guest blogger for several companies such as Durvet and serves as a guest speaker for Facebook live event

Gretchen has 20+ years working as a Veterinary Technician, and the health and science of animal care has always been a passion of hers. She works full time as a Veterinary Triage Technician and assists owners with their pets' health concerns via the internet.
As I am sure you are well aware, we continually see so much misguided information out there regarding keeping backyard flocks healthy. We all start when it comes to raising chickens, and Gretchen's goal is to help folks learn where to find reliable sources of information.
